Painted during the 2023 Door County Plein Air Festival in Wisconsin. I don't paint flowers often but these hollyhocks were irresistible. The delicate color was so beautiful and set against the white building it was so much fun to paint. I used a quadruple primed panel for the first time and absolutely loved the effect and the way the paint handled, especially for this subject!
