Happy Spring!
Hello from a (finally!) warm Nebraska! My favorite time of year...the
garden is coming back to life, trees are budding out, and plein air
painting season is about to begin. This is a season of rebirth and
renewal for me personally as well. I'm eight weeks out from my second
total knee replacement and although recovery has been slower this time
than last, every day is better than the last. I'm looking forward to
finally getting back to the easel and sharing new work with you!
The painting above, "Hope Springs Eternal," was painted in my back yard
a couple of years ago. It reminds me of this quote: "Spring...is far
more than just a changing of seasons; it's a rebirth of the spirit."

On April 20th, the Ralston Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring it's
annual Wine Walk. Many local businesses are participating, including
our gallery and A Flower Basket (which shares our building). Sample
wines and snacks at each business! Hours are 4 to 7pm and tickets are

Have You Every Wanted to Learn to Paint?
This "Oil Painting For Beginners" workshop is for you!
Back by popular demand! Hurry...this one will fill fast! May 6th and
7th, 2023 (Saturday/Sunday). Limited to 8 students - open to teens and
adults. If you've ever wanted to try oil painting, this is the perfect
class for you...no prior experience needed! All supplies will be
provided as part of your tuition cost. We will learn all the basics,
from equipment, to a variety of techniques for paint application, to
color mixing and much more...then we will create a painting together
step by step. On day 2 you will have the chance to create a painting of
your choice with plenty of individualized attention from Debra...using
the techniques you learned on Day 1. This promises to be a truly fun
and inspiring class. Class hours: 9am to 4pm both days. Class will be
held INDOORS at the gallery/studio, 5615 S 77th St, Ralston NE 68127.

For the Beauty of the Earth
Invitational Exhibition
Hubby Don and I are both honored to be included in "For the Beauty of
the Earth" invitational exhibition at the Cathedral Art Project's
Sunderland Gallery in Omaha. This is Don's very first gallery
exhibition of his woodworking outside of our own gallery in
Ralston...so proud of him! Below are a couple of photos of work we have
in the show which runs through April. 3900 Webster St, Omaha NE -
